Second Circle: Fundamentals of Rope

This class's focus is to build an understanding of a single column tie, double column tie, and common frictions. In class you will explore rope handling and learn to tie with a partner, or on your own. The goal of the class is to start tying without having to memorize any complex ties.

These ties can be self tied, but is recommended to tie with a partner. We at DHP can help aid in finding partners if you aren’t on your own. We can only suggest others who are attending single. We can not pair anyone up. For this class it’s recommended that you have at least 2 hanks (but 4 would be more fun) of rope at least 8 meters, and don’t forget your safety shears!
